The Drug Intervention Programme (DIP) is a key part of the government's strategy for tackling drugs and reducing crime.

The Drug Intervention Programme uses two paper based forms called the Drug Intervention Request form and the Activity form. These paper forms are used to capture client details, drug problems, release dates from prison and GP details. Once these forms had been completed they were also copied and sent to Liverpool for research.

New Electronic DIR and Activity Forms

 

CTMI stands for Client Tracking Management Information. It is a system that has taken the paper based DIR & Activity forms and converted them into an electronic solution.

The  DIR & Activity Forms can be filled out on laptops offline or online using Microsoft Infopath.  It has the functionality to build in business validation and ensures the correct  input is captured, thus reducing data quality issues. 

Once the data is captured, it is stored within the case management system where the user can  access the tool via a web portal. Users are then able to access all of the information that was entered via the two forms and track clients status/progress effectively.

The management team also has the functionality to manage staff, assign/unassign clients to staff and run many reports. The results are fed back via data or graphs.
